We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and strategic leader to oversee two strategical areas: Reliability testing and Quality Assurance for innovative R\&D space. This role is pivotal in ensuring the long\-term quality and success of our product portfolio, requiring close collaboration with teams across multiple continents.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with a strategic mindset and a proven track record of leading high\-performing teams in a fast\-paced, global environment.

Description

You will apply your management and technical depth to lead two distinct technical teams, driving excellence across quality engineering and product reliability. You will operate at both strategic and tactical levels \- shaping the future direction of your function while staying close to the work and the people doing it.

This is a highly collaborative, cross\-functional role with global reach. You will build strong working relationships with Apple partners across EMEIA and beyond, communicating with clarity and purpose across all levels of the organisation. Comfort in a rapidly evolving environment, an ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and a genuine passion for mentoring talent are all essential to thriving in this role.

The position is based at Apple's EMEIA headquarters in Cork and requires occasional international travel

Shape and influence reliability testing strategy at a global level

Ensure rigorous quality assurance across innovative product prototyping processes

Lead, develop, and mentor two technical teams across distinct functional areas, elevating individual and collective performance

Define, implement, and continuously improve quality strategies, methodologies, and processes

Support your team in designing, coordinating, and evaluating testing and measurement activities

Collaborate closely with cross\-functional partners across multiple continents, ensuring alignment on global projects and key business initiatives

Contribute actively and transparently to cross\-functional discussions, bringing data\-driven insights and expertise from your team

Conduct risk assessments and implement effective preventive and corrective actions

Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to senior leadership, enabling informed, data\-driven decision\-making

Manage team operations within agreed financial budgets

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of quality methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent frameworks

Formal quality qualification (e.g. CQE, CQM, or equivalent) is an advantage

Project management experience in complex, multi\-stakeholder environments

Experience operating within large\-scale global organisations and cross\-functional teams

Background in high\-tech or innovation\-driven industries

Consumer electronics experience is preferred, but candidates from medical devices, automotive, aerospace, or other technically rigorous industries with relevant development models are strongly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

10\+ years of experience in quality engineering or a closely related field, with at least 5 years in a senior management role

Proven experience in product reliability testing, including planning, execution, and results evaluation

Experience in quality assurance within prototype or new product development environments

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field

Proficiency with statistical tools and techniques such as Minitab or JMP

Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

Strategic thinker with a systems\-level approach to quality and engineering challenges

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

Adaptability and composure in a fast\-paced, rapidly changing environment
