The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Business Planning, Risk, and Compliance Manager to work in the Strategic Programme Management Office to lead a series of centralise critical processes for the Chief Transformation, Technology and Offshore Office (CTTOO). The Business Planning, Risk, and Compliance Manager will liaise closely with colleagues in the Chief Strategy Office in both the development and ongoing reporting of the CTTOO Business Plan as well as with other areas of the organisation such as Group Risk and Regulation teams. The undertaking of the business planning and ongoing reporting of it will play a key role in supporting the company to achieve our ambitions and deliver on our strategy.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with the leadership team in the Chief Transformation, Technology and Offshore Office, chair meetings with senior internal personnel and manage members of the team to support in developing the business plan. The role includes developing controls to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting of milestones, KPIs, stakeholder engagement, Chief Executive Reports and Quarterly Reports. The role holder will develop relationships to ensure this activity runs smoothly and that milestones and KPIs are set from a strategic and delivery viewpoint.

Key Responsibilities* Lead and manage a team IT PMO Specialists that provide a set of centralise services from a governance, compliance, risk, and audit perspective and ensure their objectives aligns to their respective CTTOO directorates

  • Lead, manage \& report on the CTTOO Business planning annual process by engaging with all directorates \& Heads of Function for all CTTOO function as well as Chief Officers from other areas of EirGrid.

  • Align with the other functions of the PMO to ensure business planning KPIs reflect accurately the portfolio activity in the coming years from an initiative and funding perspective.

  • Partner with Group Regulation in lead the discussions with RAs centrally as part of the reporting for the All\-Ireland Program on a quarterly basis

  • Partner with Heads of Function across CTTOO as part of the monthly board approval process up to Chief Executive and respective committees to progress with the completion of major capital work program.

  • Partner with Heads of Function and HR in the Headcount and Vacancy management across CTTOO Function.

  • Oversee and manage centrally the audit, compliance and risk review and management processes for the CTTOO Function by working with respective directorates/HoF and reporting on these on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Enable the implementation of the new EirGrid Strategy and translate this into tangible KPIs as part of the business planning and multiyear plan review process on a quarterly basis.

  • Align with Innovation and Planning directorate as part of the preparation of the yearly EirGrid Annual Reporting process.
About You* In depth knowledge of the EirGrid organisation, strategy, and the different functions.
  • In depth understanding of the CTTOO Business planning process

  • Significant experience in working on business strategy, audit, compliance, and risk management processes.

  • Significant experience of working and presenting complex information with senior stakeholders across the organisation

  • Proven ability to create and develop positive partnerships with other areas of the organisation.

  • Skilled at interpreting complex financial data and providing clear, actionable insight.

  • Excellent communication, training, and coaching skills.

  • Strong financial acumen with previous experience managing IT capex and opex budgets;

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills;

Highly organised planning and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
