Essentials

· You have a deep understanding of Platform Engineering within the context of DevOps/DevSecOps methodologies and possess hands-on experience in applying these concepts to deliver AWS serverless cloud platforms effectively.

· You have a strong grasp of the fundamental principles of CI/CD pipelines and how they can be leveraged to enhance the software development lifecycle.

· You have proven experience in designing, building, and operating serverless cloud architectures, leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS and DynamoDB.

· You adopt IaC as your default approach to infrastructure delivery (i.e. Terraform) and are proficient in at least one programming language (e.g Bash, JavaScript, Go, Python).

· You have experience using AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code and GitHub Copilot to optimise development workflows and enable AI-orchestrated automated software delivery.

· You understand the core principles of observability and monitoring and how these can be used to achieve system operability and support incident resolution in a distributed AWS serverless architecture.

Desirables

· You have experience building and running container environments (e.g. Kubernetes) and how to apply best practices (e.g. tagging, performance optimisation, vulnerability scanning).

· You are Cloud certified in one or more public cloud platform (e.g. AWS Solution Architect Associate, AWS Cloud Ops Engineer Associate).

· You have experience provisioning and managing database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Redis).
