Your role
As a practitioner in AI\&D, you are responsible for delivering Data Engineering on Cloud projects. You are encouraged to devise innovative solutions to help our clients address their biggest data challenges including developing modern analytics platforms.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Governance manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the delivery of Data Governance projects from conception to production. You will work closely with clients, project managers, solution architects, engineers and data scientists to ensure project goals are met on\-time, on\-budget, and to the highest standard.
In your role, you will have responsibility for deliverables and client stakeholder relationships and will be delivering solutions for our clients using agile methodologies. You will often be working in multi\-disciplinary teams across a range of industries, subject matters and locations.
Our projects vary greatly and your responsibility as a Manager will differ based on the focus of the client engagement and your skillset, but could include and may require you to:
- Lead the delivery of Data Governance projects especially from an architecture perspective from inception to production, ensuring all project goals are met on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
- Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and objectives and translate these into actionable project plans and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, engineers, and data scientists to ensure project tasks are being executed and delivered on time and within budget.
- Review and provide feedback on project deliverables to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to ensure project progress is understood and milestones are achieved.
- Stay up to date with the latest generative AI technologies, trends, and best practices.
Candidates must have experience in Cloud\-based Data Platforms involving some or all of the following areas:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience in project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross\- functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem\-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Data / Information Governance principles and familiarity with processes, policies and any of the key vendor platforms
- Experience with Data Quality management, Master Data Management processes and Data Profiling
- Experience with Management Information /BI Reporting delivery processes
- Experience managing project delivery including waterfall and/or agile methodologies
- Familiarity with regulatory / statutory requirements impacting; Management Information and Data change management
- Knowledge of process improvement, process design, and business process mapping
- Relevant experience in consulting or industry
- Analytics / Data Governance Target Operating Model (TOM) design
- Data Governance specific experience, for example: understanding Data Lineage, defining Data Quality Rules, risk management, metadata management and policy development
- Data Operations specific experience, for example implementing improved data processes, enhanced data integration, monitoring and maintenance and automation
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: The troubleshooting and problem\-solving skills developed during data migration are directly applicable to resolving issues within data operations.
- Proficiency in object orientated programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
