Management Trainee – Leadership Development Programme

Manchester \| Full Time \| Immediate Start Available

Most people spend years wondering when they'll be trusted with real responsibility. Here, that timeline is different. If you're ambitious, coachable and ready to be developed through structure rather than left to figure it out alone, this role puts you on a path where your contribution shapes your progression.

Bloom Manchester builds future leaders through immersion, not observation. You'll be working alongside senior consultants, gaining exposure to business strategy, client engagement and operational decision\-making from day one. This isn't about watching from the sidelines, it's about learning through doing, with the coaching and accountability that makes the difference.

About Bloom Manchester

We're a marketing and business consultancy based in Manchester, working with organisations to solve commercial challenges and deliver measurable growth. Our team combines strategic thinking with hands\-on execution, and we've built our reputation on results, not rhetoric.

We don't just deliver for clients, we develop our people. Our management training programme exists because we believe leadership capability is built through intentional development, clear feedback and progressive responsibility.

The Role

As a Management Trainee, you'll enter a structured development pathway designed to accelerate your understanding of business operations, team leadership and project delivery. You'll work across multiple areas of the business, gaining practical experience in client\-facing work, internal strategy and people management.

This isn't a passive learning experience. You'll be given real projects, clear targets and direct mentorship. Your progress will be based on demonstrated performance, and those who excel will see their responsibilities expand accordingly.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will evolve as you develop, but core areas include:

  • Supporting business consultancy projects and client campaign delivery

  • Contributing to strategic planning sessions and commercial discussions

  • Developing skills in team coordination and project management

  • Building relationships with clients and external stakeholders under guidance

  • Taking ownership of defined objectives with mentor support

  • Participating in performance reviews and structured feedback sessions

  • Representing the business professionally in meetings and industry settings
Over time, high performers may take on leadership of smaller teams, direct client accounts or specific business initiatives.

Training and Development

Every Management Trainee is assigned a dedicated mentor who provides ongoing coaching, monitors progress and sets clear development milestones. You'll receive continuous feedback, not annual reviews, but regular, actionable insight into where you're excelling and where to focus next.

Training covers leadership fundamentals, business operations, communication under pressure, decision\-making frameworks and commercial awareness. Development is hands\-on. You'll learn by doing, supported by people who've been where you are and know how to get you where you're going.

Progression isn't time\-based. It's merit\-based. Demonstrate capability, and opportunities follow.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who are motivated by growth, not comfort. You don't need prior experience in consultancy or management, but you do need to be willing to learn quickly, take feedback seriously and meet high standards consistently.

You might be a recent graduate exploring career options beyond your degree, or someone early in your career looking to transition into leadership and business. What matters is your attitude, your work ethic and your willingness to be developed.

You should have:

  • Strong communication skills and professional presence

  • Resilience and the ability to perform under expectations

  • Ambition to take on responsibility and develop into leadership

  • Coachability, openness to feedback and continuous improvement

  • Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday, on site in Manchester
We're building a team of people who back themselves, hold themselves accountable and want more than a job, they want a trajectory.

What We Offer

You'll receive a competitive salary with performance\-related bonuses for those who consistently exceed expectations. High performers may also be selected for international business travel opportunities, fine dining experiences and industry networking events.

Beyond financial recognition, you'll gain genuine business experience, exposure to senior\-level decision\-making and a network of professionals who are invested in your development. The culture here rewards contribution. If you deliver, you're recognised. If you grow, you're given more.

This is a high\-standards environment. Pressure exists, but it's channelled into development, not dysfunction. Expect to be challenged. Expect to be supported. Expect accountability to run both ways.
