An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing and fast-paced business within the infrastructure / energy sector.
This role offers a genuine opportunity to take ownership, work independently, and become a key finance contact across the business. Working closely with senior leadership and operational stakeholders, the successful candidate will have the chance to shape the role over time and gain exposure typically associated with a “mini Finance Manager / Finance Director” style position.

Key Responsibilities • Ownership of monthly management accounts for a portfolio of entities

• Preparation of journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations


• Production of monthly reporting packs with clear commentary around performance and variances


• Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow processes


• Partner directly with operational and senior leadership stakeholders across the business


• Assist with improving processes, reporting and financial controls


• Maintain accurate financial records and support audit requirements


• Take ownership of workloads and manage priorities independently

Candidate Profile The successful candidate is likely to:

• Be studying towards or recently qualified ACCA / CIMA (or qualified by experience)


• Have previous experience within management accounts or commercial finance


• Be organised, proactive and capable of managing their own processes effectively


• Have strong communication skills and confidence dealing with senior stakeholders


• Enjoy working autonomously whilst taking accountability for their work


• Be a reliable self-starter who can operate in a fast-moving environment


• Have strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail
