Management Accountant (Team Leader)
About the Business
Our client is a well\-established, privately owned international manufacturing organisation with a long\-standing reputation for quality, stability and continuous growth. Operating across multiple European locations, the business combines the security and structure of a larger group with the collaborative feel of a close\-knit team.
This is a company that values long\-term thinking, consistency and strong working relationships. Employees benefit from a supportive environment where people are trusted to take ownership of their responsibilities, contribute ideas and make a genuine impact within the organisation.
The Management Accountant Job
This Management Accountant Job sits at team leader level and carries full ownership of the management accounting function, from preparing the monthly income statement and balance sheet through to the monthly group consolidation and transfer pricing.
There is real breadth to this role. As well as the core management accounts, the successful candidate will lead the month\-end close, lead the assistants, run the group consolidation (UK and 1 \* European entity) handle lease reporting, quarterly returns, transfer pricing and support audit. Working with the parent company also requires the ability to operate at a confident level when it comes to quarterly reports and dealing with international stakeholders.
The business uses a unique ERP system that was implemented within the last year or so and so strong ERP experience and particularly a solid understanding of stock movements and inventory transactions is important, as this is a manufacturing environment with a high volume of inventory activity.
The FC is clear on what they need: someone reliable, consistent, and self\-sufficient. The priority is someone who can come in, take ownership, and be trusted to deliver, including when the FD is away.
The Team \& Culture
The finance function is intentionally lean, creating an environment where individuals can gain broad exposure and play a meaningful role in the day\-to\-day success of the business. Reporting into an experienced senior finance leader, the successful candidate will become a key member of a small but highly collaborative team.
The culture is professional, supportive and down\-to\-earth. Team members work closely together, helping one another during busy periods while maintaining clear ownership of their individual responsibilities. Communication is open, and there is a strong emphasis on reliability, accountability and mutual trust.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working within a stable environment, values autonomy, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high\-quality work. The business is looking for an individual who wants to become a trusted member of the team and contribute to its continued success over the long term.
