Management Accountant

We are pleased to be working with an growing business, located near Lymm who are looking for a management accountant to join them on a full time permanent basis. This role would suit someone looking to progress their career in a growing SME that operates successfully within a competitive market.

You will be joining a small finance team, undertaking the following duties. This role is open to candidates who don't have experience with all of the following, but who are willing to learn and develop.

Duties will include:

• Prepare and post month-end journals (accruals, prepayments, depreciation)


• Assist with the production of monthly management accounts


• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies


• Maintain supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts


• Ensure month-end close is completed accurately and on time


• Oversee and support accounts payable and receivable processes


• Process inter company transactions and reconciliations


• Perform regular bank reconciliations


• Monitor cash flow and report on variances


• Assist with cash forecasting based on transactional data


• Prepare and submit VAT returns


• Maintain accurate financial records for audit purposes

• Salary is negotiable dependant on experience


• 37.5 hours per week across Monday-Friday
