Management Accountant

The Role

We’re working with a well-established and growing organisation seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a key role providing high-quality financial reporting, insight, and commercial support to drive informed decision-making across the business.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, helping to analyse performance, improve processes, and support strategic initiatives. This opportunity can pay from £50,000-£60,000 and offers hybrid working of 3 days from office to 2 days in the home.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs)


• Support month-end processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations


• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS)

Cash Flow & Controls

• Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management


• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, Corporation Tax, CIS)


• Support year-end audit and statutory reporting processes

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles


• Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary on business performance


• Develop financial models for business cases, scenario planning, and commercial decision-making

Business Partnering & Strategy

• Collaborate with operational teams to drive financial understanding


• Analyse costs and identify opportunities for efficiencies


• Support senior leadership with insights and ad hoc analysis


• Contribute to process improvements and wider finance projects

About You

• Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)


• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data clearly


• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with multiple data sources


• Confident communicator with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders


• High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset


• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (IFS highly desirable)
