Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join a successful company in Felixstowe. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong Sage 50 experience who is looking to play a key role in supporting business decisions and maintaining accurate financial records.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, delivering insightful reporting, and supporting strategic planning across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports, providing clear insight into business performance


• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes


• Perform variance analysis, highlighting trends, investigating discrepancies, and recommending corrective actions


• Maintain and reconcile ledger accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls


• Work closely with internal departments to improve financial processes and optimise data management using Sage 50


• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors as required


• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial procedures and reporting capabilities

• Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar finance role


• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50


• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail


• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
