Management Accountant

KCR Solutions are delighted to be working with a successful and fast-paced hospitality business based in Newcastle upon Tyne who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month contract to cover maternity leave.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is a hands-on role suited to a confident and proactive finance professional who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of the management accounts process, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

THIS IS A FULLY OFFICE BASED POSITION

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts


• Production of detailed Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reports


• Full month-end close activities and associated reporting


• Balance sheet reconciliations and maintenance of financial controls


• Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations


• Payroll review and related accounting entries


• Overhead and cost analysis, investigating variances and providing commentary


• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management


• Preparation and submission of VAT returns


• Support with statutory reporting and regulatory requirements

• Has proven experience producing full management accounts


• Can confidently manage month-end processes with minimal supervision


• Is comfortable working to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment


• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team


• Has a positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach


• Can hit the ground running and quickly add value
