Management Accountant

We are delighted to be supporting our FMCG client with their search for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant to join their team. This is a key role within the finance function, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring the business has accurate, timely financial insight.

You’ll take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, provide meaningful analysis, and work closely with operational teams to drive performance and profitability. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and making a real impact.

Duties and responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include :-

• Producing profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.


• Assisting in the production of the annual budget and periodic forecasting.


• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of corporate statutory reporting to the authorities.


• Responsibility for the calculation, presentation and payment of VAT.


• Control income and manage capital expenditure. Reporting on company assets and liabilities.


• Take a lead in preparing the annual financial audit documents.


• Assist with financial administration when required.


• Assist in the development of project costing models.

Experience and qualifications
We are ideally seeking an experienced accountant with two years management experience and someone who can clearly demonstrate their ability to utilise operational solutions to help improve business strategies.

• Ideally you will be ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.


• Have proven technical ability with experience in a management accounting role.


• Possess a focus for customer service internally and externally.


• We are seeking someone who will work collaboratively with the company to establish positive outcomes and leverage the capabilities of all parties.


• A positive attitude is a must for this role - we are seeking someone who values being a team player and possesses excellent communication skills.


• Knowledge of Sage200 would be ideal for this role however not essential.
