Responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and detailed reports tailored to various stakeholders to support decision making. The role utilises a range of systems and data tools to optimise financial processes, streamline workflows, and enhance the quality and efficiency of management reporting, leveraging technology and data\-driven insights to contribute to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities
--------------------
Management Reporting, budgeting \& forecasting
- Deliver month\-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries, for specific business areas ensuring accuracy, completeness and adherence to deadlines.
- Produce accurate, timely and insightful management accounts and reports, from financial and non\-financial data, to support performance analysis.
- Prepare commentary and reports explaining significant deviations from forecasts for specific business areas.
- Provide timely reporting to finance leadership and business stakeholders to support decision making.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for specific business areas.
- Ensure adhere to financial controls, policies and accounting standards.
- Support audit processes (internal and external), including addressing any audit queries.
- Analyse budget versus actual figures, preparing commentary and identifying key drivers of variances for specific business areas.
- Collaborate with operational teams to understand and monitor specific business areas.
- Collaborate with finance and business colleagues to address and resolve identified issues in financials.
- .Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.
- Produce performance reporting highlighting key drivers, risks and opportunities.
- Identify optimisation and automation opportunities for finance using financial and operational systems \& tools such as Power Query and Power BI.
- Apply data analytics and business intelligence techniques to interpret trends, explain performance drivers, and provide forward looking insights.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the organisation’s financial, operational, and reporting systems, understanding data flows, controls, and system outputs to ensure accurate, efficient, and insightful management reporting.
- Develop and refine management reports, KPIs, OPIs and decision support information to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Lead or participate in finance\-related change projects, ensuring objectives are met efficiently.
- Support digital transformation initiatives within the finance team.

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 2 years experience in a medium to large commercial organisation.
- Strong experience working with large datasets and analytics.
- Strong proficiency IT systems particularly excel, Power BI, Agresso or similar accounting software.
- Proven experience of continuous development and improvement.
- Flexibility to work across teams and functions.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
