Support Worker – Learning Disabilities Service (Male Only)

Location: Glenholme Healthcare, The Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, HP1 1GQ

Salary: £12\.75 up to £12\.95 per hour \+ Paid Training

Hours: Full\-time position available – applicants must be flexible to work across a rota including days, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where required.

Please note: Due to the nature of the residents' care needs, this is a male\-only role in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1\. Applicants must also be comfortable working in an environment with a dog and cats.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of residents while promoting independence and person\-centred support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing reassurance, emotional support, and daily assistance to residents


• Supporting with personal care where required


• Administering medication in line with care plans


• Responding promptly to residents' needs and supporting positive outcomes


• Maintaining accurate records and completing daily reports


• Ensuring the environment is safe, clean, and welcoming


• Encouraging independence, choice, and participation in daily activities
