Key Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all technical equipment and facility systems on site. Key responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and carrying out repairs. The role also supports continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment availability and operational safety.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of logistics equipment (conveyors, sorters, automated systems, forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.).
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, or automated breakdowns quickly and restore equipment to service as soon as possible.
- Perform adjustments and checks to ensure the proper functioning of sorting or handling lines.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
- Record interventions in the CMMS and contribute to the analysis of recurring faults.
- Carry out all maintenance activities in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and company policies
- Work closely with Operations, HSE, Engineering, and external service providers.
- Support audits, technical inspections, and regulatory assessments.
- Report recurring issues and develop sustainable solutions.
- Communicate clearly regarding equipment status, risks, and required actions
- Strong knowledge of electromechanics, industrial electricity, and automation.
- Familiarity with automated logistics systems (a plus).
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical diagrams.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and CMMS.
- Ability to work in dynamic and shifting environment
- Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
- Fluency in German and English
- Strong analytical and technical problem\-solving skills
- High attention to detail, responsibility, and a strong safety mindset
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Education : Professional High School Diploma (Bac Pro MEI) or 2\-year technical degree (BTS in Industrial Maintenance, Electrotechnics, MAI, etc.).
- Experience : 1–3 years minimum in a logistics or automated industrial environment.
