At Apleona, We are always on the lookout for talented and dynamic individuals to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician (Electricial0 to be based at our site in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork
Shift Pattern: Monday \- Friday 39 Hours per week
Main duties and responsibilities
- To carry out a range of technical duties to cover mechanical, electrical, and some general building fabric maintenance, which will consist of some general operative tasks
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment under our control as per the Plant CMMS / CAFM system
- Proactively identify and remedy equipment maintenance issues to maximise equipment uptime
- Servicing of electrical, mechanical, and non\-technical equipment
- Liaise with the service desk/supervisor and respond to all non\-technical and technical queries promptly to ensure conformance with the relevant Service Level Agreement
- To carry out fault finding and repairs to broken down equipment, contact and coordinate service engineers where external assistance is required
- To keep all business unit leads informed and always updated in relation to equipment issues
- Liaising with department engineers and other support personnel to identify and solve problems
- Assist with the drive for 'Cost Reduction Initiatives' across the site, from providing ideas through to implementation. This should also include Energy Saving Opportunities (ESOs)
- To be a self\-performing Electrician and continuously strive for self\-improvement
- Must be willing to take on and familiarize with all relevant site systems as deemed necessary to complete the role
- Assist with all queries regarding quotations and purchasing when requested
- Maintain and maximize use of client CMMS / CAFM (Computer Aided Facility Management) system and ensure all works are completed and closed within the agreed timeframe
- Sourcing and stocking of spare parts as required to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained in accordance with client requirements
- Provide relevant information to assist with the generation of reports
- Always ensure compliance with Health and Safety and legislative requirements
- Ensure that EH \& S procedures are always adhered to. Contribute to targets related to Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement
- Report of any accident, incidents and out\-of\-place findings to the client/line manager
- Always maintain the workshop and maintenance stores areas in a tidy condition
- Scheduled regularly to provide cover to the site for out\-of\-hours situations on a rotational basis. Rotation to be determined by the company and may be subject to change.
- You may be asked to work overtime to cover out\-of\-hours work as determined by the Supervisor/client
- The successful candidate must also hold: PPM on all electrical equipment such as. Boilers, Emergency lighting, Motive power, General lighting, Fixed electrical testing, PAT testing, Water \& booster pumps, HVAC equipment LV, MV \& HV experience
- Electrical Senior Trades or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in the following areas \- Utilities / Facilities
- Formal training/certification in any of the above would be advantageous
- Proven track record in Preventive and Reactive Maintenance in a similar environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal \& written, and ability to multitask
- Methodical, analytical, and enthusiastic approach to work with good attention to detail
- Excellent problem\-solving and troubleshooting ability
- Must be extremely flexible and have excellent time management and organisational skills
- Well presented with excellent interpersonal skills
