We are looking for an enthusiastic, hands\-on and proactive individual to join YOTEL Manchester Deansgate as Maintenance Supervisor.
Located in the heart of Manchester city centre, YOTEL Manchester Deansgate is a 261\-bedroom hotel combining smart design, technology and exceptional guest experiences. MOTLEY, our restaurant and bar, creates a vibrant social hub for guests and locals alike.

As Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the day\-to\-day operation of the hotel by ensuring all guest rooms, public areas and back\-of\-house spaces are maintained to the highest standards. You will lead by example, support the wider operations team and help create a safe, functional and welcoming environment for both guests and crew.
A snapshot of your key responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily maintenance operation across guest rooms, public areas and back\-of\-house spaces.
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
- Support with basic plumbing, electrical, painting, joinery and general maintenance repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify defects, hazards or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance jobs are logged, tracked and completed within agreed timeframes.
- Liaise closely with Reception, Housekeeping and external contractors regarding maintenance issues and room downtime.
- Support procurement processes, including ordering, stock monitoring and supplier coordination for maintenance materials and equipment.
- Support compliance with Health \& Safety, Fire Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Assist with statutory checks, PPMs and contractor visits.
- Monitor maintenance stock levels, tools and equipment.
- Support onboarding and training of maintenance team members where applicable.
- Help minimise room downtime and support guest satisfaction through efficient response times.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively during shift handovers.
- Support sustainability initiatives and energy\-saving practices across the hotel.
- Previous experience within hotel maintenance or a similar maintenance environment.
- Good knowledge of general building maintenance.
- Strong problem\-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast\-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic understanding of Health \& Safety and COSHH procedures.
