Maintenance & Repair Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance \& Repair Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be practical, reliable and confident working independently at customer sites. Most importantly, you will need to be someone who enjoys getting hands\-on and finding solutions to problems. We welcomeapplicants from a range of backgrounds such as those with an electrical apprenticeship or electrical engineering background, HVAC, mechanical engineering, Facilities or Building Services experience.
Previous experience working with fire alarm or intruder alarm systems is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on fire alarm and intruder alarm systems
- Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve system faults
- Diagnose and repair faults on fire alarm and intruder alarm equipment
- Carry out testing and servicing of alarm systems
- Investigate false alarms and identify the cause of faults
- Test and replace faulty devices, batteries, detectors, sensors and other system components
- Assist with the installation of new systems and associated equipment
- Carry out fault\-finding on wiring, power supplies, control panels and field devices
- Use hand tools, power tools and test equipment safely and effectively
- Attend training and develop technical knowledge as required
- Hands\-on and practical approach to work
- Good fault\-finding and problem\-solving skills
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and basic test equipment
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical or technical systems
- Able to work independently and manage jobs on site
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and willing to learn
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- Willing to undertake training in fire alarm, intruder alarm and security systems
- Company vehicle provided

You should have experience working with tools, equipment and practical repairs, together with the ability to diagnose problems and work out how to fix them.
Full training will be provided for candidates who have the right hands\-on attitude, practical ability and willingness to learn.
Pay: £24,000\.00\-£36,000\.00 per year
