Maintenance Manager
Engineering & Maintenance Lead - Burnley - £45,000 to £50,000
37.5 hours per week, fully site-based
ACR is working with an established manufacturing business recruiting an Engineering & Maintenance Lead to take ownership of site maintenance, manufacturing engineering and facilities activity.
This newly structured role would suit an experienced Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Maintenance Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer ready to step into broader responsibility for people, CapEx, automation and continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will lead maintenance and manufacturing engineering activity across the site, managing two maintenance technicians and coordinating specialist contractors where required.
- Manage planned, preventive and reactive maintenance across the manufacturing site
- Coordinate two maintenance technicians, external contractors and specialist engineering support
- Manage CapEx projects covering new machinery, equipment upgrades and manufacturing improvements
- Drive automation and continuous improvement projects across production processes
- Monitor maintenance activity through the site maintenance management system
- Assess machinery breakdowns and coordinate the most effective internal or external response
- Support machine moves, equipment layouts and manufacturing engineering projects
- Manage engineering and maintenance budgets and support capital-investment justification
- Coordinate facilities requirements and environmental data including energy, water and CO2 reporting
- Represent the Engineering & Maintenance Lead function in regional and global engineering discussions
- Strong maintenance engineering or manufacturing engineering experience within a production environment
- Experience of planned maintenance, preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance
- Good practical understanding of manufacturing machinery and engineering processes
- Exposure to CapEx, machinery installation, equipment upgrades or automation projects
- Some supervisory, team-leadership or people-management experience, or clear readiness to step up
- Experience managing contractors, engineering budgets or external technical suppliers
- A relevant engineering qualification
- CAD or AutoCAD experience for machine or plant layouts would be advantageous
