Maintenance Groundsman

Full Time, Specific Purpose Contract (12 months)

St. Michaels House provides a comprehensive range of services and supports to men, women, and children with disabilities, and their families in over 200locations in the greater Dublin Area. It supports c. 2,300 people and this has an impact on thousands of family members.

Key Role:

  • To support the Grounds Foreman in the completion of assigned grounds/gardening work tasks throughout the organisation, and ensure works are completed and closed out appropriately.

  • To undertake such additional duties as might reasonably be requested by line Management (Estates Managers).

Requirements

Qualification / Skills / Essential Criteria:

  • 3 years working in a similar grounds maintenance role

  • Relevant health and safety training appropriate for the completion and management of grounds maintenance works.

  • They should also hold a valid Safe Pass card.

  • A Clean Driving Licence and own Vehicle for use in carrying out their role is essential.

Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with the June 2026 HSE revised consolidated GROUNDSMEN (4068\) pay scale (point 1; 35,433 point 9; 41,696 per annum based on working a 39 hour week).

Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay\-scale above.
