Maintenance Engineer
About The Role
We are recruiting for Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join our expanding team based at our site in Howden. The candidate will work a combination of mornings and afternoons on rotating shift pattern.
The salary for this position ranges between £40,500 \- £43,500 \+ Shift Allowance depending on the experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- To carry out planned and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding, PLC, troubleshooting and maintaining, repairing conveyor systems, equipment and plant using all engineering disciplines to ensure minimum lost production time
- To follow up any faults picked up on PPM’s
- Take ownership for working area; monitor key maintenance KPI's such as breakdowns and have a strong service\-department mind set towards the operations
- Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and serviceable manner
- To proactively work towards the continued success and support of the business with a can\-do attitude
About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum Level 3 Qualification in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering (Required)
- 18th Edition with valid IEE regulations (Desirable)
- Welding/Fabricating experience (Desirable)
- Understanding of PLC systems (Desirable)
- An ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent technical skills and knowledge
- Problem solving and team working skills
- To think on your own initiative
