We are a growing steel manufacturing company based in Cannock and are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team.
This is a hands\-on role working within a busy production environment, maintaining and repairing our machinery and helping to keep downtime to a minimum.
The role
Your day\-to\-day duties will include:
- Planned and preventative maintenance of production machinery
- Responding to machinery breakdowns
- Finding and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Carrying out general machinery repairs and maintenance
- Supporting the installation and setup of new equipment
- Identifying improvements to machinery and equipment
- Working closely with production teams to resolve issues
- Liaising with external engineers and contractors when required
- Keeping maintenance and repair records up to date
- Working in line with site Health \& Safety procedures
What we're looking for
You will need:
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Good mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge
- Experience with fault finding and machinery repairs
- The ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Good practical problem\-solving skills
- The ability to organise and prioritise your own work
- A reliable approach and the ability to work well with production teams
- A full UK driving licence, as you will need to travel between our sites
This is a physical role within a working factory and will involve standing, lifting, climbing and manual handling.
What we offer
- £36,000–£43,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm
- 20 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Additional time off during the Christmas shutdown
- Company electric van for work\-related travel between sites
- Permanent, full\-time position
Pay: £36,000\.00\-£43,000\.00 per year
