Motiontech designs, installs, and maintains intelligent automation and material handling systems for major UK retail and logistics businesses. Their engineering teams keep high\-availability, high\-performance automated distribution operations running around the clock. You'll join an established maintenance team on\-site in Hinckley, keeping cutting\-edge automated material handling systems running at peak performance. Day to day, you'll split your time between planned preventative work and reactive fault\-finding — with the tools, systems, and team around you to do both properly.

You will:

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance across automated material handling systems

  • Respond to breakdowns quickly, diagnosing and resolving faults to minimise downtime

  • Fault\-find on electrical, mechanical, and PLC\-controlled equipment

  • Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pneumatics, and automated handling systems

  • Use the CMMS to log maintenance activity and track performance data
What you'll bring

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi\-Skilled Engineering

  • Proven maintenance experience in logistics, automation, FMCG, or manufacturing

  • Strong fault\-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and PLC\-controlled systems

  • Hands\-on experience with conveyors, drives, gearboxes, and pneumatics
Comfortable working 12\-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends
  • Useful, not essential:

  • Experience with CMMS platforms

  • Previous work in a high\-speed automated logistics environment

  • Exposure to robotics or advanced sortation systems
