Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, based on experience and modest overtime.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours per week)

We are looking for a hands\-on Maintenance Engineer to join our established engineering team and support the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault\-finding, preventative maintenance, and working within a traditional manufacturing environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring machinery and production equipment remain operational, safe, and efficient.
The role involves a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support, and continuous improvement activities across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Respond to machinery breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance repairs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance projects
- Use workshop equipment including lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools where required
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Assist with spare parts management and stock control
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long\-term solutions
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health \& Safety procedures
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role
- Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical fault\-finding and repair skills
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Basic electrical safety awareness
- Experience using machine shop equipment such as lathes and milling machines would be advantageous
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
