Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, based on experience and modest overtime.
Location: Malvern Link, Worcestershire, WR14 1AL
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm (40 hours per week)

Operating from our production facility in Malvern, Worcestershire, we supply customers worldwide across industries including Leisure Marine, Commercial Marine, Height Safety, Industrial Lifting, and Technical Cords.

We are looking for a hands\-on Maintenance Engineer to join our established engineering team and support the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and machinery.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys fault\-finding, preventative maintenance, and working within a traditional manufacturing environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in ensuring machinery and production equipment remain operational, safe, and efficient.

The role involves a mixture of planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support, and continuous improvement activities across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing machinery and equipment

  • Respond to machinery breakdowns and complete reactive maintenance repairs

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults

  • Support continuous improvement and maintenance projects

  • Use workshop equipment including lathes, milling machines, and other machine tools where required

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

  • Assist with spare parts management and stock control

  • Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime

  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long\-term solutions

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health \& Safety procedures
Skills \& Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer role

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience

  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Strong mechanical fault\-finding and repair skills

  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems

  • Basic electrical safety awareness

  • Experience using machine shop equipment such as lathes and milling machines would be advantageous

  • Good organisational and communication skills

  • Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

  • Flexible approach to overtime when required
