Maintenance Engineer

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Days) Salary: £56,800
Location: Gloucester

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a heavy food/FMCG environment with a stable days-based shift pattern.

The Role You will be part of a team of three engineers, responsible for maintaining and improving a range of mechanical and some electrical equipment within a busy production environment.

We are ideally looking for a Multi skilled Engineer with strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience.

Key Responsibilities • Maintenance and repair of conveyors, motors, pumps, belts and gearboxes

• Working with hydraulics and pneumatics


• Fault finding on single and 3-phase systems


• Working with sensors and relays


• Maintenance of roll briggs, packaging machinery, silos


• Servicing and repair of blowers, balers and compressors


• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives


• Ensuring minimal downtime and efficient production output

About You • NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or equivalent)

• Strong background within heavy food manufacturing or FMCG


• Proactive, reliable and team-focused


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment

Package • Salary: £56,800

• Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee


• Holidays: 22 days + Bank Holidays


• Hours: Double Days (6-3 and 1-10)
