Maintenance Assistant

Overview:

The Maintenance Crew at BrookLodge \& Macreddin Village plays a key role in ensuring that all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are operating efficiently and are maintained to the highest standards. This hands\-on role requires a proactive, skilled, and safety\-conscious individual who can troubleshoot and carry out a wide range of repairs while supporting the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance of hotel facilities, guest rooms, and common areas.


• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.


• Carry out basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC systems.


• Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.


• Monitor and manage building systems such as heating, lighting, and water supply.


• Assist with setup and breakdown for events or functions as required.


• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping, front desk, and food \& beverage teams to support guest needs.


• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all maintenance work areas.


• Follow health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with hotel standards and local regulations.


• Report any major maintenance issues or equipment faults to the Maintenance Manager

• Proven experience in a maintenance or facilities\-related role, preferably in a hospitality environment.


• Strong knowledge of general maintenance procedures and equipment.


• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.


• Good communication and problem\-solving skills.


• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.


• A proactive and team\-oriented attitude.


• Trade qualification or technical training


• Valid driver's license is an advantage.
