Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Analyst Developer to join our growing team in Lisbon. You will primarily work with COBOL, DB2, and mainframe technologies in enterprise environments, contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL in both Batch and Online environments.

  • Design, optimize, and maintain DB2 data models, CRUD operations, and performance tuning.

  • Create and manage JCL procedures and job executions.

  • Work with TSO/ISPF and EOS tools for development and operational support.

  • Apply TDD/BDD practices to ensure software quality and reliability.

  • Support Continuous Delivery processes and deployment activities.

  • Provide preventive support for nightly batch processing when required.

  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver efficient and scalable solutions.

  • Document technical processes, developments, and operational procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with internal security and quality standards.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3–4 years of hands\-on experience in Mainframe development environments.

  • Strong experience with DB2 (CRUD operations, data modeling, and performance tuning).

  • Experience in COBOL development – Batch and Online.

  • Knowledge of JCL.

  • Knowledge of TSO/ISPF and EOS.

  • Familiarity with TDD/BDD methodologies.

  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery practices.

  • Availability to support nightly batch prevention activities.

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
