Logistic Support Operative

Permanent, Full time, 40 hours per week – Day shift – 07\.30 to 16\.00

The role is based on a customer site, Argyle Way, Stevenage.

Job Description

Reporting to the Stevenage Services coordinator, you will be predominantly working in a standalone role within the customer location, ensuring smooth collections and deliveries are carried out via schedules in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Within the delivery and collection schedules you will be required to carry out basic maintenance on stock items, including ad hoc cleaning of transportation containers when required, which will include working at height. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities of Logistics Support Operative

· To load, unload and distribute goods within a network of locations locally

· To establish and maintain customer relationships to achieve maximum efficiency

· Ability to demonstrate willingness, enthusiasm, and use initiative as the role involves liaising with the customer

· Strong communication is essential as the role is predominantly customer\-facing

· Attention to detail required to maintain accuracy and achieve stringent group KPIs

Requirements of Logistics Support Operative \- Stevenage

· Applicants must be aged 21 or over, having held for a minimum of one year a full driving license up to 3\.5T vehicles.

· Previous experience within a driving and warehouse environment is preferred

· You must be able to demonstrate a five\-year history and pass security checks where applicable.

· Ability to work on own initiative and manage conflicting demands and problem solve

· Counterbalance Fork\-Lift Truck experience and license preferable, training will be provided if required

· Looking to develop professional skills in the packaging and transporting of dangerous goods. Training and development provided.
