A Day in the Life

For our distribution center in Heerlen (HRL2\) we are looking for a Logistics Support Officer (General Clerck III). In this role, you will be supporting all departments (Inbound, Outbound and Value Added Service team). In this role you support the daily operational team to solve problems and leading projects with your extensive knowledge in SAP and other tools.
We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in SAP, has good communication skills and is hands\-on to resolve problems. You also have a strong continuous improvement mindset to find the root cause and prevent issues together with our DC Analysts. You are open to work between 7\-22h where you will switch with your colleagues to ensure coverage during the shifts. You will work independently from the Heerlen 2 DC and report to the Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Provide support to all departments to prevent and resolve operational issues using your extensive knowledge of SAP / BIS
- Maintain complete knowledge of the processes performed within and outside logistics, according to the related procedures and quality standards
- Monitor the performance and proactively collaborate within the team to prevent issues
- Use the 5\-WHY and or A3 DMAIC methodology to solve problems and drive continuous improvement across functions. Support large projects and new product introductions for process and system setup
- Organize, document, and maintain standardized ways of working to minimize inefficiencies
- Promote a positive and open working environment. Work closely with other Medtronic locations and departments to solve or prevent problems
- Extensive experience with the SAP system.
- Experience with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Fluency in English language (spoken and written), Dutch knowledge is a plus
- Available to work in a shift model between 07\-22h
- Minimum of 4 years of operational experience in a warehouse and distribution environment
