Logistics Coordinator
- Location: On-site only
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (subject to a 5-month probationary period)
Day-to-day of the role:
- Process sales orders and manage transport for both UK and international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs and client requirements.
- Track shipments, investigate delivery issues, and liaise with the Logistics Lead and clients to resolve any issues promptly.
- Maintain department databases and company records diligently.
- Support the Logistics Lead during client audits and undertake document control, maintenance, and administrative logistics tasks as directed.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, visitors, suppliers, contractors, and clients.
- Raise purchase orders in line with purchase requisitions and resolve supplier issues efficiently.
- Provide site support to the Global Product Stewardship Manager, including generating and maintaining MSDS for materials manufactured.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
- Proven experience in a logistics role, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with translation software for document translation into multiple languages.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and remain adaptable to changing requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and a robust work ethic.
