Logistics Specialist

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Maintain and develop relationships with key customer accounts ensuring strong service delivery and effective day\-to\-day account support.

· Promptly handle customer queries with professionalism \& efficiency with a strong focus on resolution.

· Maintain good working practices while proactively identifying continuous improvements that will offer customers with an enhanced service.

· Flexible and hands\-on approach to prioritising duties and achieving deadlines.

· Support stock control through accurate system transactions, discrepancy investigation and inventory accuracy checks.

· Support the accurate receipt, booking, staging and dispatch of freight to meet operational requirements.

· Monitor freight movements, documentation and service updates escalating issues where required.

· Assist with shipment tracking and investigation of discrepancies or delivery issues.

· Provide day\-to\-day operational support to site management while maintaining service accuracy and compliance standards.

· Prepare and maintain accurate freight documentation ensuring all records are complete, compliant and up to date.

Required skills and experience

· Experience working in a similar environment, preferably customer facing.

· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

· Self\-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and be accountable for tasks and actions.

· Previous experience in warehouse operations.

· Proficient in all Microsoft packages.

· Proactive communicator in the use of email and phone.

· Deadline focused.

· Must be able to work well under pressure.
