We are now looking for a proactive and hands\-on Logistics Depot Manager to support the day\-to\-day running of our busy depot operations.
The Role
As Logistics Depot Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth day\-to\-day operation of the depot’s logistics function, with a focus on trailer monitoring, site coordination and depot organisation.
This is a hands\-on operational role requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work closely with logistics, service and workshop teams to maintain safe and efficient depot operations.
Reporting to the Lead Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring trailers and mobile medical units are managed effectively and operational standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage depot trailer parking logistics and ensure proper space utilisation
- Monitor and coordinate trailer movements as well as allocations across the depot
- Ensure all trailers and units within the depot are checked and monitored daily
- Utilise and maintain the depot parking planning system
- Maintain site safety standards and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Carry out set\-up and pack\-down of mobile medical units within the depot
- Ensure truck wash equipment is maintained with soap and fuel
- Fuelling trailer generators on site
- Work closely with logistics, workshop and service departments to support operational efficiency
Essential:
- Valid C\+E Licence
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands\-on environment
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Proactive and reliable approach to work
- Must be MRI scanner safe (no magnetic metal implants or materials in the body)
- FLT Licence
- Manual Handling training/certification
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues
- £35,000 – £40,000 annual salary depending on experience
