Job Summary
We are seeking a detail\-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods, ensuring timely and efficient shipping and receiving processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.

  • Utilise Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.

  • Collaborate with third\-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimise supply chain efficiency.

  • Analyse logistics data to identify trends, improve processes, and reduce costs.

  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and management systems.

  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve any issues related to shipments.

  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when liaising with clients and vendors.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics operations.
Import \& Export Compliance
  • Manage daily import and export movements for overseas goods to meet operational and project deadlines.

  • Prepare and maintain import/export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, customs entries, and proof of export.

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and hauliers to coordinate shipments and resolve customs or transport issues.

  • Ensure correct use of Incoterms, commodity codes, duties, and VAT treatments.

  • Maintain accurate records in line with HMRC and audit requirements.

  • Act as the first point of contact for import/export queries across the business.
Experience \& Skills
  • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and 3PL operations is advantageous.

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.

  • Proficient in data entry with attention to detail.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self\-motivated.
