In this role you will be responsible for managing daily logistics activities by executing timely and cost\-effective shipments supported by precise documentation.
Responsibilities
- Works with warehouse and other teams to provide economical and timely shipments to our customers
- Prepares invoices, customs documents, manifests, bills of lading, certificates of origin
- Arranges for and coordinates direct shipments from suppliers to customers ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Reviews customer invoice for accuracy prior to shipment
- Direct contact with Customers for approval of shipping documents
- Audits all freight bills for proper customer and warranty division charges and authorize payment
- Prepares all necessary shipping and documentation in relation to Hazardous Material Shipments
- Maintains an up\-to\-date knowledge of all international shipping regulations
- Recommends new policies and procedures as required to improve efficiencies
- Assists and develops EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) program with freight carriers
- Generates and designs new logistics forms
- May participate in or lead continuous improvement activities
- Accountability of Spare Parts Sales revenue
- Education in technical Sales or Logistics or equivalent experience
- Some years of working experience in customer service, in a customs or traffic department or within an international transport company
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Must be able to work independently and be self\-motivated
- Solid technical and mechanical aptitude
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with customers
- Good written communication skills, technical writing and reporting/presentation skills critical
- Ability to communicate effectively, across all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple pressing issues at a time
- Knowledge of applicable international shipping regulations
- Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, BaaN, DHL Easyship, TNT, UPS
- Fluent in English, French and German
