Locum Specialty Dr in Acute & General Medicine

Entry Criteria for a Specialty Doctor:
A doctor appointed to this grade:
shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council (GMC);
And
- shall have completed at least four years’ full\-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full\-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT);
- shall have equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for a one\-year Specialty Doctor post in Acute Medicine (18 hours per week) based at St John’s Hospital, Livingston in NHS Lothian. The post\-holder will join a dynamic team of colleagues in Acute Medicine at St John’s providing management of acute medical presentations through EMA (Emergency Medical Admissions) an SDEC (Same Day emergency Care).
