Locum Consultant Paediatrician
We are inviting applications for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician, for an initial period of 3 months, to join our dynamic acute paediatric team. This is a full\-time post (10 PAs) and is to commence as soon as possible.
The role will primarily focus on General Paediatrics, and while a specialty interest is not essential, any subspecialty that complements our existing service will be welcomed and supported.

The successful candidate will join a thriving and fully integrated Child Health Directorate, comprising 21\.5 WTE Consultants, including 2 Paediatric Neurologists and 6 WTE Consultant Community Paediatricians. The post is primarily based at Royal Preston Hospital, with close collaboration across the wider paediatric team.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient ward cover , supporting the Consultant of the Week.
Assessment Unit and emergency admissions cover.
Outpatient clinics , primarily new patient assessments.
Evening resident shifts in the Paediatric Assessment Unit (approx. 6 shifts per 10\-week cycle), working alongside junior and middle grade doctors.
No neonatal cover is required.
Opportunity to undertake managerial or leadership responsibilities , depending on interest and experience.
