Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live\-in Care Assistant to provide personalised support and companionship to individuals in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well\-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and comfortable working independently in a home care setting.
Duties
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Supporting clients with mobility and daily routines to promote independence
- Preparing meals and assisting with feeding as required
- Administering medication in accordance with care plans
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client's condition
- Supporting clients with light housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
- Communicating effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs and updates
- Assisting clients to appointments or outings when necessary \- Own license and car desirable but NOT essential, non\-drivers will be considered for this role.
- Previous experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good understanding of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Good level of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation
- Excellent communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently in a live\-in capacity
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well\-being
Pay: £650\.00\-£900\.00 per week
