Live-in Care Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Live\-in Care Assistant to provide compassionate support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in our clients' lives by delivering personalised care tailored to their needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and comfortable working independently in a home environment. Previous experience required. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs. This paid position is suitable for those committed to delivering high\-quality care with a warm and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care in accordance with care plans, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation


• Supporting clients with mobility and ensuring their safety at all times


• Administering medication as prescribed and monitoring health conditions


• Assisting with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment


• Offering companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing and independence


• Maintaining accurate records of care provided and communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals


• Clear spoken English, ability to cook traditional British meals


• Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures

Experience

• Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care to someone with dementia but not essential


• Good IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively


• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families


• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans confidently


• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
