Litigation Solicitor (NQ+)

• Annual Salary: Circa £45,000 – £55,000, dependent on experience


• Location: Caterham


• Job Type: Permanent, full-time, flexible working

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Newly Qualified Litigation Solicitor (or above) to join a well-established and growing litigation team. This role is perfect for individuals looking to focus predominantly on civil litigation, offering exposure to a varied and mixed caseload and providing an ideal platform for professional development. While aimed at NQ level, candidates with post-qualification experience are also encouraged to apply, especially those with a strong background in litigation.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception through to resolution.


• Advise clients on litigation strategy, prospects of success, and risk.


• Draft pleadings, witness statements, and other court documents.


• Conduct legal research and review evidence.


• Engage in negotiations and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.


• Instruct and liaise with counsel and external experts.


• Represent clients at hearings where appropriate.


• Maintain high standards of client care and compliance at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.


• Minimum Newly Qualified level (higher PQE also welcomed).


• Training or experience within civil litigation.


• Strong drafting, analytical, and case management skills.


• Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to manage multiple matters effectively and meet deadlines.


• A proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
