Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Lighting Sales Engineer/Business Development Manager to join our team in the United Kingdom. Based in the Midlands, this role is vital in expanding our market presence and fostering strong client relationships, aligning with our mission to provide top\-tier electrical solutions.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote lighting solutions within target markets.

  • Proactively generate and develop new business opportunities with commercial and industrial end\-users, targeting energy reduction and net\-zero goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and partners.

  • Conduct detailed site surveys to assess existing lighting infrastructure, energy usage, and specific client requirements.

  • Prepare compliant lighting designs (using Relux) that maximize energy efficiency, calculate ROI using our dedicated quoting software, and present proposals directly to key decision\-makers.

  • Present product offerings effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to tailor lighting solutions to client needs.

  • Manage sales pipeline and report on progress regularly.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and technological advancements.

  • Represent Ecolightinguk Ltd at industry events and trade shows.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in sales or business development within the electrical and lighting industry.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.

  • Ideally should hold relevant electrical installation qualifications in the UK (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, City \& Guilds 2365/2357, or equivalent plus BS5266\).

  • Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671 \- 18th Edition) is highly prefer

  • Must be based in the Midlands and hold a valid UK Driving Licence and prepared to travel nationwide as and when necessary.

  • Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Pay: £40,000\.00\-£55,000\.00 per year
