Lift Engineer – Full\-Time

The Role
Honest Elevator Company is seeking a skilled and reliable Lift Engineer to join its growing team on a full\-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out lift maintenance, servicing, fault\-finding, repairs and breakdown attendance at customer sites. The role will involve working independently and as part of a wider engineering team to ensure that lifts are operating safely, reliably and in accordance with the required standards.
This position would suit an experienced lift engineer who takes pride in the quality of their work, maintains high safety standards and provides a professional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled lift maintenance and servicing.
- Attend breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical and control\-system faults.
- Complete repairs and corrective maintenance in a safe and effective manner.
- Inspect lift equipment and identify defects, wear, safety issues and potential failures.
- Replace or repair components where required.
- Test lifts following maintenance or repair work.
- Complete service reports, job sheets and other required records accurately.
- Communicate clearly with the office regarding job status, parts requirements and any follow\-up work.
- Liaise professionally with customers and provide appropriate updates on work completed.
- Identify additional repair requirements and provide accurate technical information to support quotations.
- Work with the parts and office teams to ensure that the correct parts are obtained and available for scheduled works.
- Comply with company procedures, site requirements, health and safety obligations and applicable lift industry standards.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles in good condition.
- Participate in an on\-call or emergency breakdown rota, where required and agreed.
- Previous experience as a lift engineer, elevator engineer
- Good mechanical and electrical fault\-finding ability.
- The ability to read and understand technical information and wiring diagrams.
- A methodical and safety\-conscious approach to maintenance and repair work.
- The ability to work independently and manage assigned jobs effectively.
- Good communication and customer\-service skills.
- A full driving licence.
- The right to work in Ireland.
- A willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
- Experience working on passenger lifts, goods lifts or similar lifting equipment.
- Experience with maintenance, modernisation, breakdown response and repair work.
- Relevant electrical, mechanical or engineering qualifications.
- Experience with a range of lift manufacturers and control systems.
- Safe Pass, Manual Handling and other relevant site\-safety training.
- Familiarity with relevant Irish and European lift safety requirements.
- Full\-time employment.
- Starting rate subject to experience and qualifications.
- Ongoing work with an established lift and elevator company.
- Varied maintenance, repair and breakdown work.
- Support from HEC’s operations, commercial and parts teams.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, technically capable and committed to completing work to a high standard. They will be able to diagnose problems carefully, communicate clearly, keep accurate records and ensure that customers receive a professional service.
The role requires someone who is comfortable working at different customer locations, managing their own workload and taking responsibility for the safe and effective completion of each job.
