We have an exciting opening for a Lifecycle Engineer to join the Civil Safety Centre .
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead investigation teams of specialists to identify root cause, containment and solutions for safety issues.
The Rolls\-Royce Civil Safety Centre provides world\-class technical support to investigate and resolve known and potential safety issues for the in\-service fleet.
What you will be doing:
- Management of known and potential safety issues (SAR \& RT) and appropriate involvement in safety boards as defined in Safety Management Plan.
- Provide technical support to help resolve safety\-related technical queries and operational arisings.
- Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide technical surveillance and quality assurance audits to support continuous product enhancement for customer satisfaction and business expectation.
- Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications (used by OEM, build/commissioning/maintenance bases and customers) including acceptance limit development.
- Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports) to platform provider, regulators, customers, internal stakeholder.
- Ensure compliance with requirements specified by regulatory authorities and to adhere to technical and business requirements of internal \& external stakeholders.
- Gather in\-service data and carry out continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience activities, feeding back into future programmes and product design teams.
- Engineering or Numerical degree preferred or equivalent with experience.
- Knowledge of components/ systems functionality and numerical methods.
- Experience of working on complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous.
- Familiarity of the in\-service operation environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution.
- Experience in support/lead cross\-functional teams e.g. specialists, suppliers, customers and partners.
- Good knowledge of AI and digital advancements would be beneficial.
