Summary
The Governors of UpHolland Roby Mill C of E Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant temporary for a year with a view to a permanent role. The post is for 12\.5 hours per week, full days Thursday and Friday. We are looking for a candidate who has knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
As part of the role, you will be required to:
- Provide one\-to\-one and group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), encouraging active participation, independence, and self\-confidence.
- Deliver tailored learning activities and targeted interventions under the guidance of the Teaching Team and SENDCo.
- Support pupils academic, social, and emotional development by adapting strategies and approaches to meet their individual needs.
- Develop positive, trusting relationships with pupils to foster wellbeing, engagement, and sustained progress.
- Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, behaviour, and engagement, contributing to reviews, reports, and target\-setting processes.
- Assist in the preparation and development of personalised learning resources and contribute positively to the wider classroom environment.
- To meet the needs of pupil(s) in relation to welfare, hygiene, toileting, dressing.
- Implement behaviour management and regulation strategies in accordance with school policies and individual support plans.
- Provide support during, daily routines, transitions, and, where appropriate, learning activities that take place outside the classroom or school setting
