Leisure Duty Manager
Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced leisure professional ready to take the next step in your career? Lichfield Leisure Centre are looking for a proactive and customer\-focused Leisure Duty Manager to help lead the daily operations of our leisure centre.
About the Role
As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for the day\-to\-day operational management of the centre, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, safety, and team performance. You will actively manage, develop and motivate operational staff while contributing to the centre’s overall business performance.
This is a hands\-on role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a safe and welcoming environment for all customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Operations Manager in operating the facility in a professional and business\-focused manner.
- Lead, motivate and supervise operational staff to ensure high performance and morale.
- Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback in line with HR policies.
- Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Manage customer comments and complaints professionally and effectively.
- Take responsibility for health \& safety, risk management, and compliance with Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Procedures (EAPs).
- Act decisively in emergency situations, ensuring staff respond effectively.
- Have experience supervising or managing staff in a leisure environment.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
- Be confident in handling customer queries and complaints.
- Have a thorough understanding of health \& safety responsibilities.
- Be fit and competent to undertake ongoing training, including NPLQ time tests.
- Be committed to continuous professional development.
- Be flexible, with the ability to attend training or meetings outside normal working hours.

- Minimum 2 years working in leisure
- Working weekends, evenings and bank holidays on a shift basis
- Working across Burntwood and Lichfield sites
- Knowledge of COSHH and H\&S legislations
