Bridge Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected law firm in Kent that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Private Client department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Legal Secretary with Private Client experience to join a supportive team and provide full secretarial support to fee earners handling a varied caseload of wills, probate and estate administration matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing full secretarial support to Private Client fee earners


• Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence


• Preparing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Codicils and Probate documentation


• Assisting with estate administration and probate matters


• Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings


• Liaising with clients and handling Private Client enquiries


• Opening files and completing AML and ID checks


• Maintaining accurate file records and departmental administration


• Supporting fee earners with billing, file management and matter progression

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Private Client department


• Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration


• Excellent audio and copy typing skills


• Experience managing diaries and client communications


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload

• Experience preparing estate accounts and inheritance tax forms


• Knowledge of BigHand, Oyez Forms, Excel and Partner for Windows
