Legal Disrepair Surveyor

About the Role / Job Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Building Surveyor (Disrepair) to join our Repairs Team, managing legal disrepair cases and helping ensure residents receive a high-quality, timely, and professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage legal disrepair cases effectively and efficiently.


• Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of properties.


• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings.


• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.


• Provide professional advice to residents regarding their disrepair issues.


• Monitor progress and outcomes of legal cases.


• Maintain accurate records and databases related to disrepair cases.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Building Surveyor or in a similar role.


• Strong understanding of disrepair legislation and regulations.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education Requirements:

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.


• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., MRICS) are desirable.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in building surveying, particularly in disrepair.


• Experience in managing legal cases and liaising with legal professionals.


• Familiarity with housing association practices is an advantage.
