We are seeking an organised and proactive Legal Assistant to join our busy Private Client and Residential Property team in our Cardiff office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied caseload including Wills, LPAs, Probate, Trusts, Estates and Residential Property matters, within a supportive and professional environment.

Job Description

This is a full-time role based in our Cardiff office. The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to fee earners.

  • Managing files, including opening, maintaining and closing in line with compliance requirements.

  • Undertaking AML checks for new clients.

  • Billing support.

  • Maintaining and updating case management systems.

  • Preparing and drafting legal documents and correspondence.

  • Liaising with clients and delivering a high standard of client care.

  • Managing diaries, appointments, and client meetings.

  • Submitting applications to HM Land Registry.

  • Providing general administrative support to the team as required.

Applicant Criteria

Required skills, experience and personal attributes:

  • Previous experience in a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary role (ideally working as part of a Private Client and/or Residential Property Team).

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems.

  • Friendly and professional manner.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.

  • Strong team player with a proactive approach.
