As a Legal Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role behind the scenes, managing high-value transactions, supporting fee earners, and ensuring financial processes run smoothly. Reporting to the Head of Accounts, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing office and client account transactions in line with legal accounting procedures

  • Managing company expenses and supporting the expense approval process

  • Completing credit card reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies

  • Posting supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner

  • Assisting with Land Registry-related financial administration

  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of a new expenses process

  • Providing flexible support across the finance team and assisting with ad hoc tasks as required

  • Working closely with colleagues across multiple offices to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

What you will need:
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Legal Accounts Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant, Finance Administrator, Legal Cashier or similar)

  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach

  • Basic Excel skills

  • Willingness to learn new systems (experience with Liberate or Imanage is a bonus, but not essential)

  • A genuine interest in building a long-term career in legal finance
