Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our team from September on a full-time basis. This rewarding role involves supporting students aged 16–25 with a range of additional needs, helping them develop their independence, confidence, academic skills, and preparation for adulthood.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support both inside and outside the classroom. Our students have a variety of learning difficulties and disabilities, including autism, moderate learning difficulties, communication needs, and complex additional needs. The successful candidates will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and small-group support to students with SEN.
- Assist students to access learning activities and achieve their personal targets.
- Promote independence, confidence, and social development.
- Support students with communication, emotional regulation, and daily living skills where required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to deliver outstanding support.
- A caring, patient, and positive approach.
- Experience working with young people or adults with SEN.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine commitment to helping students achieve their goals and reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
