The Role - Learning Support Assistant A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Haringey is seeking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join its support team on a long-term basis starting ASAP.

As the successful Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4, providing classroom, small-group and one-to-one support. You will help students to access the curriculum, complete classwork and develop their confidence and independence within the classroom.

You will also support students with their behaviour, helping them to remain focused, engaged and positively involved in lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff and the wider pastoral team to ensure students receive the appropriate academic, social and behavioural support.

Previous experience working within education is desirable, along with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs. Experience supporting students with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, proactive and confident in building positive relationships with young people. Strong communication skills and an ability to support both learning and behaviour are essential.
